Thrifty Christmas

When I saw this leopard print dress, I knew I had to have it. Leopard is like a neutral to me – I pair it with almost anything.

This time, I paired this thrifted dress, purse and earrings with newer items I already had in my wardrobe.

I have never been one of those people that always needs to be photographed in something new. I do not mind wearing the same things, and re-styling them to make them work for different occasions. I can wear the same dress to the office, club and to church and it’ll look different each time.

As I get older, I’m more interested in investing wardrobe staples that can be paired with cheaper trendy items. I think it is kind of pointless to buy something that I can only wear for one or two seasons. I need timeless additions to my wardrobe that I can spice up with trendy accessories or statement pieces.

http://finessecurves.comI think clashing prints and textures gives an outfit more dimension. I am trying to “grow up,” and work with solid palettes, but I am not certain that I will ever be able to give up all things loud, printed, vintage-looking or kitschy.

    1. Thanks! The ironic thing is: I NEVER find great stuff while thrifting, because they never have the good stuff in my size.

      It’s getting better, though…
