How ’bout those apples?

Being an apple-shaped gal, I’m always looking for flattering pieces that flow away from the body or just skim my curves. So thankfully, the jumper-style draping on this dress sent to me by A’nie’s Accents hides all my problem areas from the VBO to the back fat.

A lot of plus size influencers say that you should wear whatever you want – yadda, yadda, yadda. I’m all here for that, and trust me I take risks.

So every once in a while, you’re going to see some VBO, and then some, because I have a thick middle. It’s unavoidable, but can be smoothed. You dig?

Now, I am all about body-positivity and owning my curves, but I still want to look polished while playing with fashion.

So this dress is the perfect, comfy, body-skimming dress for spring. How ’bout those apples?

Well, they say there are a few things a gal should do when dressing her apple-shaped bod:

  1. Show off her legs. (Check!)

  2. Draw attention away from the middle. (Check!)

  3. Camouflage with prints. (Check!)

This dress has me covered – literally. And, I love the stripes on this dress, which were a big trend in the spring/summer NYFW shows, but really are always a classic. And, the way this dress marries bodycon with draping is pretty much brilliant.

I paired this monochromatic look with colorful and gold accessories, staples from my own closet; except for the purse, which was sent to be by Anie’s. Fringe seemed like the perfect way to spice up this otherwise neat, mod look.

This dress can be styled over and over again for so many occasions. For my freezing office, I may pair this with tights and ballet flats and more modest accessories.

Well, I hope you all are having a bearable Monday so far. Cheers to a great, productive week!
