Athleisure Chic

The perfect outfit is chic and comfortable. But, usually, we have to sacrifice comfort for style. So I was excited that with this skirt I found both.

I typically don’t see pencil skirts in a comfy, sports luxe material like this heathered skirt. And it’s nice to have leisure wear in a structured cut. And, I typically save my leisure wear for the weekends, but I feel like I could get away with this at the office or even out on the town.

I slipped into this skirt before heading to the  Lifestyle Bloggers Lounge at the . I knew that there would be a lot of people to mingle with at this kick-off party for the Go Blog Social: St. Louis conference, so I wanted to be comfortable. At the same time, I wanted to be chic while mingling with 150+ Midwest-based bloggers, of course.

This skirt nailed my goal. The best part about this? The skirt has real pockets, perfect for storing my phone; this way, I can whip it out for a quick photo opportunity. Man, I really don’t think there is anything better than a skirt with pockets.

I’ve never really seen something like this skirt from any plus size retailers. So I was excited to discover Dress Me Good and explore the fabulous, unique options they have for plus size gals.

This flattering skirt lets me #LoveMyBody as I bounced around this event. By the way, here’s what I did:

      1. I’m thinking of like buying a bunch of a-line midi skirts with pockets for work this summer.
You’ve inspired/reminded me to get on that and quit fucking with jeans at work like I don’t got no class

      2. Oooh I love these cotton midi skirts. Finding more with pockets in my size may be hard, though, but I’ve got my eyes peeled. I wish I wore jeans more, they just never fit right… sigh.
