Holy Water

When I ran into my friend, Monae, at my cousin’s funeral we decided to kick back and reflect after the service. She photographed me.

Other than that, I don’t have much to say. My eyes just water these days – more than usual, which is already a lot.

I am still. In deep thought about everything that’s been going on with my people and city lately. We’re hurting.

Tears are God’s gift to us. Our holy water. They heal us as they flow. ~Rita Schiano
