It’s been a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year, but I am so ready to get back to what I love most – working.

I love getting down to business and getting closer to my dreams. *Goapele voice*

Time of the year is the perfect time to incorporate some holiday spirit into my work attire. In fact, it is really the only time I feel comfy wearing stuff like sequins and metallics to the office; it just feels out of place any other time – seriously.

I paired this metallic skirt with a plaid shirt because they complimented each other flawlessly. I am super-excited to see other ladies embracing this look.

I got some mixed reviews about this look from family and friends, and I think some people are just not ready for texture and print clashing. However, I love to do this, and I will continue to experiment with mixing textures and prints – take that!

I paired this outfit with some jewelry that my mother gifted me from Chicos. This set is typically a bit mature for me, but it goes perfectly with certain outfits – like this one!
