3 Chicago Travel Tips

I shot up to Chicago for a quick and fun weekend. My girl was having a book signing

for a book I edited, and I also just wanted to catch up with family and friends.

I stopped by Rainbow before packing to get some new looks.

I grabbed an Airbnb for the first time ever. I definitely think I’ll do it again, and I cannot wait to get back!

What I learned from my latest trip to Chicago:

  1. Plan for traffic and walking. Everything will take anywhere from 15 mins to hours longer than planned. This time, I drove from STL, which was good because I was all over the ‘burbs and city visiting folks. Next time, though, I am taking the train and exploring downtown. I want to catch a few shows and eat more great food!

  2. Airbnb is an amazing option for Chicago. You can stay in some of the hippest neighborhoods for unbeatable prices.

  3. Wearing outfits that transition from day to night will save you time. This way, you won’t be running to your place to change clothes, allowing more time to party.

    1. It’s a great inexpensive getaway: great food, the lake… I think they have a camping ground on the lakefront that’s only like $12 a night, too!
