Tech Tuesday: I Cheated on My iPhone

Being #teamiPhone for so long, it’s hard to admit that the Galaxy S7  is actually pretty fashionable while making life easier.

This phone was sent to me by Verizon as part of their blogger program. And, it came in handy when my iPhone croaked after I got caught in the rain.

It turns out that the Galaxy S7 is water resistant – even without the case. Which is why when I had both phones with me while shooting in the rain, my iPhone (in a case) was ruined, while the Galaxy (without a case) remained unharmed.

So I downloaded all my usual apps: Facebook, IG, Snapchat, of course. I linked up all of my emails, too, and then curled up on the couch and enjoyed my new toy.

Now, I’ll admit that the iPhone is much more organized and user-friendly, but the Galaxy S7 is SMART! I mean, I hadn’t even linked up 2/4 of my Gmail accounts, but I was receiving updates from all my accounts in what felt like real time. Love my iPhone, but constantly find myself refreshing to get my emails. Maybe that’s just a personal problem (IDK – not sure).

One thing I know for sure, though, is that the pixel density on the Galaxy S7 is amazing!

Here are some other things I love about this phone:

  • Wireless charging
  • Great battery life (3,000 mAh battery )
  • Great video quality (perfect for vlogging)
  • Its sleek, sexy physique (a little slippery, though)
  • Picture-in-picture feature that lets you view media while playing on the phone (perfect for a multitasker like myself)
  • Big screen for my viewing pleasure

By the time my iPhone was restored, I had found myself favoring the Galaxy just a little bit more. Now, this is a tough situation.

So are you #TeamAndroid or #TeamiPhone?

These products were provided by Verizon. All opinions are my own.

  1. #teamiPhone, but I must admit, Androids are more versatile.

  2. #teamiPhone but Androids are more customizable. That’s the only thing I miss about being an Android user.

    1. Same. They have great features, but the way iPhones are formatted is pretty sleek.
