One of my favorite summer pastimes is laying out in the sun for hours. I may read a book, chop it up with the girls or listen to some music. Sometimes, I even fall asleep, but I don’t recommend that.

If you live in the midwest, like me, the weather isn’t quite hot enough to hit the pools yet. So in the meantime, I like to head over to Art Hill to catch some rays.

This Boom 2 speaker was the perfect accessory to bring along to these outings. With 360 degrees of soundwaves for up to 100 feet, I wanted to wallow in the sun for longer while I bumped all the latest jams. And, with 15 hours of battery life a day at the park can be a real party.

I like to grab wine and some trashy magazines and just let the good times roll. I just need to remember the sunscreen next time.

We could all use a little time out to relax. So here’s a checklist to keep in mind for the next time you lay out at the pool or park:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Towel or blanket
  • Water
  • Wine or beer
  • Fresh fruit
  • Wireless speaker

    1. They approached me to participate in their Verizon Blogger Program, which is pretty new/small at this point. I believe that it’s a regional thing. So I always recommend tagging your stuff with regional tags. I get quite of bit of local program offers.

You’re in Canada, right? I know they have tons of exclusive stuff up there!
