2017 TCF Style Expo: Get Your Fatshion Inspo HERE

The 2017 TCF Style Expo was absolutely amazing. This was my second year attending and it was even more lit than the year before. Founder of the event, Marie Denee, continues to top herself, introducing us to more celebrity guests, new vendors to love and fashion and music showcases that make anybody swoon.

Big and tall men’s fashion also made a huge statement at the event this year, with panels, booths and fashion shows filled with your favorite plus size men IG hunks.

I was also introduced to The Winston Box, which is a one-of-a-kind male clothing subscription box. for only $75 a month you can get a selection of premium, independently designed clothing. The quality is amazing, I promise.

And, do you recognize this celebrity face from mean girls? Yes – it’s Daniel Franzese, who is still acting but also the cofounder of The Winston Box.

The best part is getting to experience brands and designers face-to-face. I must say, that Christain Omeshun, and the Astra Signature brand left a lasting impression on me. I can say that every piece from these independent designers is sure to turn heads.

CurvyCo was also in the building, providing full coverage of the event.

It was also great to catch up with my favorite blogger boos!

Now, we all know that attending a fashion event – especially as a blogger – is all about who is wearing what. And, no shade, but in a world where plus size clothing options are still somewhat limited showing up at an event in the same outfit as another attendee is almost inevitable—but still utterly embarrassing. Am I right?

Is it just me, or does everybody seem to be rocking the same brands, same trends? So uninspiring, leaving me thinking if people are blogging for the love of it or just to be relevant.

So this means one thing: A real fashionista in this niche has to style the shit out of her outfits and slay with indie brands. With that said, here are some of my favorite looks from some fashionistas who did just that:

Latoya AKA The Fat Girl of Fashion MADE this shorts. So you can guarantee, nobody is stealing her swag. Two snaps for that!

Ashley of Simply Curvee took a vibrant headdress from a popular indie brand and made a crop top that turned heards all day – oooowww!

And Chancea shit it down in this Donna Karan suit that she customized by removing the sleeves – perfection!

Now, that’s fashion, baby! These looks really got me going.

So I know what you guys are thinking… Where is my outfit post and details?! Well, I got you, just be sure to look out for the next blog post to grab all the wonderful deets there.

Here’s a huge hint: A collaborated with a fabulous brands to style my red carpet looks! I’m gushing over how comfortable and chic they were. Stayyyyy tuuuuned.

Thanks you so much for all your love and support.
